Ding! Gold Cap!

It took me way to long, but I did it, I hit the 999,999g99s99c mark (and then some, the mailbox won’t top off your gold, so I had to syphon some into the guild bank). I was pretty excited when I realized the game wouldn’t let me loot any more gold from the mailbox, and excitement that extended about 5 minutes after I took this screenshot. To be honest I’ve been in a bit of a slump in terms of World of Warcraft, and one of the prevailing feeling I had when I hit the gold cap was “about fucking time” more than anything else.

How did I do it? Manufacturing mainly. I don’t dabble in anything like flipping or market influence or anything snazzy like that (I don’t sell transmogrification gear either). Basically I made my fortune taking mats and turning them into finished goods at set margins, not every exciting is it?

I am glad I finally reached this point though, I feel like it’s the last bench mark in the gold making process, and my last quantifiable goal. I also feel like it finally legitimizes me as a goblin, that I’m finally one of the “pros” so to speak.

What’s next for me? Well now I’m broke and got to make a lot more gold again before I feel comfortable. After that though, I’m going to try and come up with some creative ways to give some of it away. Thoughts anyone?

You could hold a contest to see who has the most recipes in their book for a given profession…..I’ve done that when deleting a toon on a server I don’t play on anymore. If they have 150 out of 600 JC recipes according to Ackis, they didn’t bother to get anything other than trainer taught recipes.

You could also reward guildies for helping you with annoying tasks.

Interesting idea, sounds like a lot of work though lol. And I usually do pay guildies (and sometimes even randoms) ridiculous amounts of gold for common tasks, but I’m guild-less right now! lol
