I’ve decided to take up the 20 Days of WoW Blogging Challenge by Saga of Spellbound to commemorate my 3 month anniversary at the end of January. I also figured it would be a good way to get the writing juices flowing and generate some content between the usual gold making posts. On with the show!
I must admit I don’t recall my first day of playing WoW too clearly. I do recall that I started playing the Labour Day weekend before I started grade 12 (which, in hindsight, might have been a mistake) but I can’t recall a whole lot of specifics. I do know I “started” several times, I restarted the first time to get RAF’d, and restarted the second time to get RAF’d by a friend that I would actually play and level with. My first two startups I made Tauren Druids, and when I finally got the account I have today, I switched alliance and created a Night Elf Druid. Why druids? Because they could transform into a cat. I’m serious, that was pretty much the sole reason for creating my druid.
I really had no idea what I was doing when I started, and looking back it seems like a completely different game. I was the definition of noob those first few days, I just kind of wandered around spamming wrath at mobs until one of us died. This was compounded by the fact that I was an First Person Shooter person, so the world of MMORPG was completely new to me.
Hmmm not very interesting eh? Well what else do you expect in a game like World of Warcraft!
